The gap we close
Great candidates and great startups keep missing each other.
International students need legitimate, paid Canadian experience to launch their careers — but they’re buried under résumé piles and opaque processes. Early-stage startups need to hire fast, yet don’t have time to sift a hundred applicants for the handful worth meeting. Inkaer sits in the middle: students record one honest application video, we curate a short, ranked shortlist, and companies meet real people instead of paper.
What we believe

It’s our one load-bearing principle, and every product decision flows from it. That’s why Inkaer charges a single fee — 5% of the student’s wages, paid once, only when a company hires — with no subscriptions, no conversion fees, and no long-term claims. The easier we make hiring, the more opportunities exist for students.

A shortlist, not a job board
Companies never wade through raw applicant lists. We hand over a curated, ranked shortlist of strong candidates — usually 3–5 per role.
Video-first, judged fairly
Every candidate answers the role’s question on a short video, so companies see how someone thinks and communicates before a single interview.
Paid & compliant by default
Every placement is paid at or above minimum wage, compliant with the Employment Standards Act. The company pays the student directly through its own payroll.
One fee, no strings
5% at the point of hire — once. No conversion fees if you hire them full-time later, no long-term claims on the student. Free re-placement within 30 days.
